What’s the best way of transport?

Since we’re located in the jungle, it’s good to know that a 4x4 or an ATV is handy when you want to move around.

What about tech and everything electrical?

At Studio Sol y Sombra, we’ve equipped the space with modern technology to ensure a comfortable and connected stay. Here’s what you need to know:

Starlink Internet:

• We provide high-speed Starlink internet, perfect for remote work, streaming, and staying connected with family and friends. The connection is reliable and fast, making it ideal for digital nomads and remote workers.

High-Tech Door System:

• Our studio is secured with a high-tech door system. This provides both security and convenience, as you can enter using a digital code. Instructions for using the system will be provided upon check-in.

Airconditioning:

• Both the living space and bedroom are equipped with air conditioning to keep you comfortable during your stay. Please be mindful of energy use and turn off the air conditioning when leaving the studio. This helps conserve energy and keeps the studio eco-friendly.
  

Power Outages and Battery Backup:

• In Santa Teresa, occasional power outages can occur due to weather conditions or local grid issues. To keep you comfortable during these times, we have certain essential systems running on battery backup.

  • Internet: Starlink will continue to operate on backup power during outages, ensuring you stay connected.

  • Lighting: Basic lighting will remain functional, so you won’t be left in the dark.

  • Door System: The high-tech door system will continue to operate normally, so you can always access the studio securely.

Bluetooth Speaker

Our Sonos Roam speaker allows you to enjoy your favorite music or podcasts throughout the studio. Here’s how to connect your device:

Step 1: Power On the Speaker

• Press and hold the power button on the back of the Sonos Roam until the status light comes on. It should be a small LED light near the top.

Step 2: Enable Bluetooth Pairing Mode

• Press and hold the Bluetooth button (same as the power button) on the back of the speaker until you hear a tone and the LED starts flashing blue. This indicates the speaker is in pairing mode.

Step 3: Connect Your Device

• On your smartphone or device, go to the Bluetooth settings.

• Look for “Sonos Roam” in the list of available devices and select it to pair.

• Once connected, the LED light on the speaker will change to solid blue.

Step 4: Start Playing Your Music

• Open your music app or streaming service and start playing your favorite tunes. The sound should come through the Sonos Roam.
  Please be mindful of your neighbors and surroundings!
